When you move into a new state it's difficult to find reputable doctors, dentists, veterinarians, etc. The same goes for mechanics. After we moved to Dunnellon, our Honda developed a hum in the rear end. Of course it got worse as we tried to settle into our new home. So ... we took it to Ocala Honda ... a huge mistake. Apparently they scour small used car sales lots to find their service personnel. Anyway, my Honda needed "Immediate service" to the tune of over $4,000, according the the 'service' rep. Being an Army-trained mechanic in the past, I knew the Honda service department was a carnival hoax. We came back to Dunnellon and I scoured the internet for a local Auto shop and didn't find many choices. However, one had great ratings; Kelly's. I called, they got me right in, Kelly diagnosed the hum as bearing failure, they did the work and along with a transmission fluid change the cost was a bit over $800. However, the cost is not the point. The service is the point! I never saw the glimmer of deceit, the diagnostics were accurate based on what I knew about the lifetime maintenance of my car and the price was about what I expected. I asked them to change the transmission fluid, because I know the stress the transmission is under due to my driving habits and Honda's V-tech engine. It's simple, Kelly and his crew are competent and honest. In this day and time, what more can you ask? Next visit; a brake job.
